Designs, engineers a complete line of material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform engineering tasks consistent with instructions from supervision and/or project plans while working within a development team structure • Create final product documentation including drawings, bills of materials (BOM’s), and technical reports • Prepare engineering releases and update packages using Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s) • Actively participate in the resolution of pre- and post-production design problems. • Design and detail vehicle structures, components, and systems utilizing Pro/Engineer 3D solid modeling CAD system • Evaluate and select components for use in vehicles • Perform conventional computations and finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate designs • Review product performance life and verification tests and assist in performing simple tests • Assist in resolving field service and manufacturing problems • Keep abreast of latest technology, materials, processes for use in job related areas • Proficiency with MS Office tools (primarily Word, Excel, Outlook).
Qualifications: • BSME or related discipline with 3+ years of industry experience. • Good engineering decision making experience required. • Prior experience developing mobile heavy equipment. • Good verbal and written communication skills required. • Strong Pro/E and mechanical skills required. • Must work well in a team environment. • Experience designing systems and components to work in wide ranges of environmental conditions is desirable.
