Manages the activities of product lines / projects / programs involving department or cross-functional teams. Focuses on delivery within prescribed time fame and funding parameters. Monitors the product line / program / project from initiation through delivery.
Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project; reports findings to senior management.
Recommends business and operational goals; ensures operation meets the goals.
Confers with project staff to outline work plan and responsibilities.
Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Compiles status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required; prepares project reports for senior management, client, or others.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Performs other related duties as required.
Manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervise exempt and/or nonexempt associates. May also directly supervise exempt and/or nonexempt associates. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. In some cases, this job may have no direct supervisory responsibilities.
