Currently seeking a Project Engineer to use your creative skills to develop new product lines.
To be considered for this position you must possess a BSME and have 5 years experience with product development. Product experience should be relative to consumer goods.
- Have experience leading engineering, planning and scheduling design and administrative activity on product development projects in a cross functional environment.
- Initial project definition, product part and assembly design, CAD, prototyping, engineering analysis, product change design and implementation, and new product releases.
- Project management experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Definition, analysis, solution generation, solution implementation and problem identification.
- Effectively plan and prioritizing work, proactively identifying and addressing problems and managing project work.
- Identifies opportunities, develops alternatives, and recommends improvements to business processes.
- Schedule and lead brainstorm sessions, design reviews, DFMA, FMEA and management reviews.
- Assure targets set forth on projects are met. Specifications, Quality, Cost and timing.
QUALIFICATIONS BSME Minimum 5 years experience designing/developing products, consumer household appliances development a plus. In-Depth knowledge of plastic part design. In-Depth knowledge or skill in 2-3 technical areas - Engineering analysis (finite element analysis), filtration, materials (plastics), plastic injection molding, tooling, product part and assembly design, electronic controls, sound, manufacturing. Experience with CAD - Unigraphics a plus.
