· Assume overall project responsibilities for minor development projects including design review, BOM modifications, cost reduction actions, etc. · Coordinate development of CAD databases, drawings of parts and assembly requirements, prototypes, and establish project cost guidelines and schedules. · Oversee final design and detail of products and/or parts while meeting production schedule. · Establish test requirements, perform tests on electronic parts, and resolve issues related to in house design, lab testing, quality and reliability. · Perform additional electrical codes testing, including compliance and agency testing.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
· BSEE with 2-3 years experience in the high-volume design of electromechanical consumer products (vacuum cleaners, power tools, major appliances, personal care appliances or lawn and garden equipment), or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Special Skills and Technical Knowledge:
· Strong experience with electromechanical systems including AC and DC motor control and conversions, and power management. · Solid experience with analog and digital circuit design, including printed circuit board design, layout and assembly from concept to production. · P-CAD proficiency
