· Design and develop new and innovative industrial design concepts with desirable user interface, high degree of manufacturability and visual/graphic design. · Create complex 3-dimensional CAD databases and detailed drawings of components and product assemblies. · Monitor demographics and conduct market trend analyses and research regarding product style, shape and appearance. · Propose design concepts using verbal presentation skills to management and the customer. · Create and implement graphic design, marketing samples, color design/selection and visual models. · Interact with departmental staff, engineering, buying teams and vendors to implement industrial design concepts. · Supervise direct reports, set daily work schedules and priorities, control attendance and overtime, maintain employee records, respond to personnel issues, and adhere to company and department policies in carrying our supervisory responsibilities.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
· Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design with 5 - 6 years progressive experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Special Skills and Technical Knowledge: Additional skills desired: · P-CAD proficiency. · Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Rhino computer software. · Basic model shop skills.
